A Few Words from Swim Camp about Fishing in a Small Boat
Philadelphia, PA lo-fi folk project Swim Camp recently released their debut album Fishing in a Small Boat, a dreary and infectious full length that documents and emphasizes multiple years of growth from Tom Morris as a musician, songwriter, and individual through its evocative, introspective lyrics and shifting slowcore ebbs and flows.
The collection of thirteen new tracks sifts through intimate, fragile, dirty, and delicate songs that have garnered early comparison across the spectrum from LVL Up and Strange Ranger to Alex G and Phoebe Bridgers, while still firmly establishing Swim Camp’s own star among the endlessly expansive emotional indie rock galaxy.
