A Few Words from NOVA ONE about Lovable

“I was going through a lot emotionally as I was writing and recording it,” Roz Raskin of Providence, RI cosmic dream pop project NOVA ONE shared with Wormbrain, when asked about their most recent album lovable. “When I hear it back now, I’m proud of how vulnerable I let myself be. I really enjoyed making this record, grateful to have worked with Bradford (Krieger) and Chaimes (Parker) at Big Nice again.”

The band released their stellar lovable LP through the NOLA-based Community Records on April 24th, 2020, but are only today on Saturday, April 30th, 2022 getting a chance to confidently and safely celebrate the album with a hometown affair alongside neighborhood comrades Bochek at the historic Columbus Theatre.

“Releasing music in 2020 was a mind fuck,” they told us, looking back on the experience of releasing a record during a period without traditional live music. “It was challenging. I’m just so excited to play the album out.”

As for what else the band has in store for 2022, Raskin said, “The new music feels exciting to me. Not sure what else to say about it just yet, but I’m stoked about it.” We are too, Roz.
