There Forever with Crescent Ridge and “Stuck” [Video Premiere]

"Being a teenager always wondering if you were ever gonna get out or if you were stuck there forever, it’s something our entire band has felt all growing up in the same suburb of Boston,” shared Crescent Ridge drummer Kevin Merriam about the band’s past. The grunge punk slackers from Stoughton, MA told Wormbrain that this lived experience was the inspiration behind their new single “Stuck” and their new visual to accompany it.

“We tried to capture the feeling of those hot days when you would do anything to pass the time and never wanted to go home,” Merriam said, and they did exactly that. The music video, produced by the band’s own Chris Gill and completed with the help of many friends, perfectly replicates the experience of small town New England youth, ripe with the blissful naivety and excitement of one’s salad days.

Crescent Ridge are sharing the “Stuck” music video today, ahead of its full worldwide release later this week! Watch it below only on Wormbrain World:

The band released their debut Days End EP through local outlet My Own Private. Their new single “Stuck” is the first taste of their yet-to-be-named upcoming LP.

W.W: What is Wormbrain?

KM: Wormbrain is the guy who works at the bodega who doesn’t quite understand why you buy so many scratch tickets. They’re the quiet barista who you can’t tell if they love or hate their job. He’s the guy pushing shopping carts at stop and shop listening to Mobb Deep on a Bluetooth speaker. She’s the lady who works at the bar that remembers you like an extra side of ranch. WW is nobody and everybody at the same time.

: Thank you for sharing with Wormbrain.

Crescent Ridge’s “Stuck” will be released Friday, March 25th, 2022 everywhere through Massachusetts-based label My Own Private.
